MNSU Communications Research Group

Faculty Member: Qun (Vincent) Zhang

We are a group of people in the ECE Department at the Minnesota State University, Mankato working hard and enthusiastically on research problems in Optical communication Systems and Networks, Optoelectronic Integrated Circuits (OEICs), and Design Automation Software Tools.

Current Projects:

Polarization mode dispersion effects in optical fibers

SSSF simulation schemes for vector optical fiber channel

Control for coherent optical transceivers

Outage evaluation for coherent optical fiber communication systems with PMD effects

DSP block processing for coherent optical fiber communication systems

A simulation based discrete time optical communication course development
